Our client, a renowned and innovative entertainment-based company that specializes in creating immersive water displays and experiences, has an immediate need for a Senior Project Designer in Burbank.
Position Overview
The Senior Project Designer will play a critical role in shaping the company’s creative vision, contributing to the design and execution of iconic water features, fountains, and immersive experiences that captivate audiences worldwide. This is an opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects that push the boundaries of design and engineering in the entertainment industry.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualization and Design – Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop creative concepts, designs, and sketches for water-based installations, fountains, and immersive experiences.
- Innovative Design Development – Lead the development of detailed design plans including 2D and 3D drawings, renderings, and models, incorporating state-of-the-art technology, and artistic elements.
- Project Management – Oversee the design process from concept to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Technical Expertise – Provide technical guidance and support to the design team, address engineering challenges, materials selection, and specifications to ensure feasibility and safety.
- Client Interaction – Collaborate closely with clients to understand their vision, gather feedback, present design proposals, maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Team Collaboration – Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including architects, engineers, artists, and technicians to integrate design elements seamlessly into the overall project.
- Innovation and Research – Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and design innovations.
- Quality Assurance – Ensure that the final installation meets company’s standards of excellence, aesthetics, and functionality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Industrial Design, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in designing water features, entertainment installations, or similar projects.
- Proficiency in design software, including Rhino, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Grasshopper and Auto CAD software knowledge a plus.
- Strong artistic and conceptual design skills with a portfolio showcasing exceptional creativity and innovation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Project management experience and the ability to lead design teams.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
