The Project Superintendent is responsible for the daily management of the overall project site including all coordination activates between the various Contractors, Vendors and the various Park Operating Departments. This includes pre-planning and execution to ensure the Contractor is providing adequate resources to the tasks to meet Cost, Safety, Quality, and Schedule. This includes but is not limited to ensuring the latest drawings, specifications and environmental, occupational health and safety procedures are being followed and that the facilities being built are dimensionally accurate.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall smooth operation of the job site including cleanliness, order, coordination, efficiency and productivity.
- Continually find solutions to conflicts in structural drawings and specifications by conferring with the Consultants.
- Enforce quality control, and monitor the contractor and subcontractor’s schedules. Ensure construction work complies with all engineering standards, codes, specifications and design documents.
- Coordinate inspections with consultants and authorities as required.
- Schedule, coordinate and lead job site safety meetings.
- Maintain record documents daily, weekly, and monthly reports; of contractor, consultant, and owner actives, including significant project events and milestones.
- Provide information and interpretation of plans, detail sheets and specifications for contractors and subcontractors.
- Report accurate quantities of on site labor by trade; accurately monitor material to insure quantities that the contractor has on site is sufficient to complete the Project in the field.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree (AA) in Construction, Engineering, or Architecture or equivalent years of experience.
- Prior experience as a project superintendent with a theme park company.
- Minimum experience as a project superintendent: 10-15 years; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
