Eleventh Hour Times
Eleventh Hour doesn’t have a water cooler that we all gather around to discuss headlines of the day or sports from the past week like in traditional office settings. However during our daily dart games, we do chatter about current events and below are some of the topics that were in our mix.
- AT&T allows Skype to be a part of their iPhone club. Thanks AT&T for allowing someone else to play in the iPhone sandbox.
- Burger King uses Amsterdam’s Schipol Airport to unveil new “20/20″ store design which will “encourage intimate and engaging dining.” Not sure if “having it your way” will still be linked to that experience.
- NASA sends out a probe to seek and destroy a crater on the Moon’s south pole to search for water ice below the surface. Impact is set to take place around 4:30 a.m. Friday morning here on the west
coast. - BET is investing in the Michael Vick by documenting his comeback. Tentatively titled, “Michael Vick Project,” the series is to last eight episodes.
- CBS has sold almost 80% of its ad space for Super Bowl XLIV coming up this February. Usual suspects already attached include: Pepsi, Coke, Monster.com, CareerBuilder.com, Anheuser-Busch and GoDaddy.com.
- The United Kindom has banned Vitaminwater’s ad campaign for false health claims. The second of Coca-Cola’s water to be banned in the U.K., Coca-Cola needs to be careful they don’t strike out.
Matt Suttner is disappointed the “20/20″ Burger King design couldn’t offer an inviting setting the night he slept in Amsterdam’s Schipol Airport.
