DANNY ::: EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
Daniel graduated in 2006 from University of South Florida with a BA in International Studies. He moved out to LA right after to pursue a career in entertainment. His first job when he landed was doing PA work for Dick Clark Productions. He helped out with a little bit of everything from answering phones, to stage set-up, to assembling scripts. After a few months, he started temping for companies such as ICM and King World Productions/CBS. He finally landed a full-time position at The Ant Farm where he assisted the two CEO’s of the company. He loved the job, but after about 5 months, his bosses retired and there was no other positions open, so he was laid off. He landed his next job at Hazmat Media, where he worked as an account executive. Here he was in charge of getting press materials out the door to clients, assisting around the office whenever needed and working with clients’ needs. Again, after about six months, the company saw some troubles and the staff was let go. Recently, he has been temping on high-level Executives desks. He is looking for a company where he can learn and grow within.
JULIE ::: DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Julie is an experienced Operations/HR candidate. In 1997, she started working for Mod Studios where she oversaw the day to day functions of the office including hiring, payroll, budgets, etc. Mod was a small company and they began to lose funding so she worked as a contract employee for about six months before taking a position at Pacific Reproductive Center where she worked as an administrator for about three years. She was approached by her former boss at Mod who was now working at iMedia International and asked her to come back and run their Operations side. She has been there a little over three years, but they too are losing funding so she has begun her search. She knows HR, payroll, and facilities very well and is looking for an established, stable company where she can feel secure.
CLIF ::: EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
Clif is a really great candidate. After moving to Los Angeles from Illinois, he took a job at E! Entertainment TV as an Administrative Assistant. After being there about 10 months, he was offered a position at Stone, Meyer, Genow, Smelkinson & Binder as an Executive/Legal Assistant where he supported one of the Attorneys and was responsible for covering the phones, expense reports, managing personal and business travel, and heavy calendaring. The attorney he was working for accepted a job at Yahoo! and took Clif with her. He gained really great experience, but was unfortunately let go because of a major lay-off. Clif is now interested in a variety of positions in industries such as music, marketing, advertising, comic books, sports, etc. He is very personable and can definitely fit in a variety of atmospheres. Great candidate!
JAN SARAH ::: CREATIVE ASSISTANT/COORDINATOR
Jan Sarah is really great! We placed her at New Line Cinema about a year ago, but her department was recently let go due to the merger with Warner Bros so she is looking for her next great opportunity. From 2005 – 2007, she worked for Blindlight where she assisted the General Manager of the company with everything from rolling calls to scheduling travel and meetings. There, she fully supported the manager to make sure everything was on track and organized. From there, she went to Brillstein Entertainment Partners where she assisted a very busy talent manager with travel, calendars, busy phones and expense reports. She was offered the position at New Line last year and decided take it. There, she worked in the Exhibitor Relations department as a coordinator. Here she wore a variety of hats from working in the print department for the promotional materials to scheduling screenings. Jan Sarah is really sharp, polished and motivated. She is looking to get in with a great company where she can learn and grow.
MIRIAM ::: PROJECT MANAGER
Miriam is a bilingual [Spanish/English] Project Manager who has most recently been working with AGI Media managing and coordinating campaigns from concept to launch. Her experience includes the release of Home Entertainment DVD packaging, POP, posters, banners domestically and in several countries including the full localization of all Latin American accounts. She distributed and managed workflow, invoicing systems and coordinated teams on up to 10 campaigns at once. In addition to uploading completed [and correct!] files to FTP sites, she also ensured they were routed through legal and did final QA before sending off to print. Miriam is a strong and organized Project Manager eager to find her next opportunity!
LINDSAY ::: EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
She graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a BA in Cultural Anthropology. For the past three, almost four years, she has been working for Jesse Hiatt Studios in Santa Cruz. Here, she assisted the CEO with everything from heavy calendaring to planning events to personal errands when needed. Lindsay was in charge of budgets, finances, expense reports, etc. She also arranged travel, conference calls, etc. Although it was a smaller company, the CEO was extremely busy so Lindsay had to be extremely organized and efficient. Lindsay is polished, well-spoken and extremely loyal. She mentioned that she is looking to continue her career as an executive assistant because she feels she is very nurturing and organized so she is able to successfully support busy execs. She has a great personality too – very friendly, smart and even tempered. In her free time, she plays slow pitch softball and is also an avid rugby player!
CARLOS ::: ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
His experience is less traditional on paper for an administrative assistant, but he is extremely motivated and can jump in anywhere without needing a ton of direction. He graduated from College of Charleston in 2006 with a degree in Corporate Communications. He has great experience from interning at New York Magazine, where he did research and assisted the Editor in Chief with all administrative duties to working for about a year at Kaynard Attorney at Law, where he was responsible for covering all administrative, research, expense management and general bookkeeping duties. He always knew he wanted to move to California, so he moved to San Diego and took a position as a Recruiter for Maxim Healthcare Service. Although it was not the industry he wanted to be in, he gained great client service skills as well as some business development skills. He made the move to Los Angeles recently and has been searching for the right position for him. He has been working on several short term assignments through us and our clients all rave about him. He’s ready to settle in a company that will offer room for growth down the line. He’s really well-spoken, presentable and motivated.
VALERIE ::: ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Valerie recently graduated with an MFA in Screenwriting from Chapman University. She has gained really great experience interning for companies such as Beacon Pictures, where she learned how to roll calls, do script coverage and juggle many priorities at once. She has also interned for Idealogy, where she did script coverage, answered phones and greeted guests. In 2006, she worked as a media assistant for Paris Hilton, Inc where she organized and created media booklets. The biggest lesson she took from this was learning how to deal with highly publicized celebrities. Most recently, she has been working as a freelance script reader for CAA. While this has been great experience, she is really interested in finding a full-time position in a company where she can learn and grow. She is interested in marketing, advertising and entertainment. She is really presentable, polished and intelligent. Would be great anywhere!
CHIKA ::: POLISHED EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
Chika moved to Los Angeles from New York almost a year ago for more opportunity. Most recently, she was working on a long-term temporary assignment at New Line Cinema where she covered as an assistant in Business & Legal Affairs. She was on assignment there through us and they loved her there! She was on a fairly busy desk so she’s great at rolling calls, heavy scheduling, etc. Due to the downsizing of New Line, her assignment ended. Before coming to Los Angeles, Chika was working in New York on several long-term assignments where she supported busy executives at companies such as Grey Global, A&E, Viacom, etc. She is adept at juggling a variety of things at once and has a very likeable personality. She is extremely well-spoken, smart and hardworking.
COURTNIE ::: INTELLIGENT, ENTRY LEVEL CANDIDATE
Courtnie graduated from Miami University with a degree in Mass Communications. She recently moved to Los Angeles for more opportunity and is looking for a position where she can go in at the ground level and really learn the business. For the past six months, she worked for the Cleveland Free Times where she gained great experience with cold calls, managing accounts, and learning print/web advertising. While it was great training, there was not a lot of room for growth. During school, she participated as an intern in an organization called Laws Hall & Associates where she worked with a team on developing marketing and design strategies for a selected client. Also, during a summer break, she worked for an organization that urged teachers to continue their education. She really learned her administrative skills here so she is comfortable with phones, databases, etc. She is really polished, presentable and well-spoken. I really liked her!
SHANE ::: RECENT COLLEGE GRAD INTERESTED IN FILM/TV
Shane recently graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Motion Picture, Television and Recording Arts. From January 2008 – May 2008, Shane interned in Los Angeles at Ghost House Pictures, where he gained great experience working in a busy production office where he covered scripts, helped out with administrative duties and ran errands. On his days off from interning, we sent him out on various short term temporary assignments where his performance was always well-received from our clients. After returning to Florida to graduate Shane is back and looking for a full-time position. He is really smart, has an easy going personality that will fit in anywhere and is eager to find a great position for himself!
ANDREW ::: RECENT GRAD WITH GREAT INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE
Andrew recently graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a degree in Marketing. During school, he interned at Capitol Records and was soon given a part time paid position as their Tour Marketing Department Representative. There, he managed and supervised their street promotion/marketing teams and prepared reports, created and executed retail store campaigns and created and managed spreadsheets to record tour itineraries. As soon as that ended, he took another internship at Warner Records where he did a lot of market research and financial analysis reports. He really learned a ton about Brand Partnership, which is a huge interest of his. He is interested in continuing in the music industry, but is very open to various marketing opportunities. He is smart, well-spoken and very motivated!
