MICHAEL ::: ACCOUNTING/FINANCE ASSISTANT

Although having only graduated in 2011, Michael Shanker has already accumulated a great amount of Accounting and Admin experience. During his first Accounting Internship at KRS Certified Public Accountants, he assisted with data entry, bank reconciliations, and account analysis. After a summer Finance Internship at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, he began tutoring an Accounting class at Indiana University, helping students master concepts like financial statements, time value, and methods of calculating cash flows. He is extremely comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite, has a solid admin skill set, and is looking to gain more experience in the field.

KIERAN ::: DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT

Kieran is an intelligent young man eager to continue his career in entertainment. He has a few years of experience as an office Admin Assistant, and he’s familiar with programs such as Quark Xpress and Adobe Photoshop. His most recent experience was working under a Producer at Jenifer Lopez Enterprises where he was responsible for office duties and script coverage. As an avid writer, director, and producer, Kieran would be an asset to a production company in a development assistant role.

Erin Gilmore graduated from the University of Arizona with a BA degree in Communications and Marketing and soon after began interning at Young Hollywood, a next-gen skewed website, where she acted as Receptionist, handling multiple phone lines, worked first hand with clients, and helped develop material for the company’s website. She then moved on to Freelance Design work at LA Girl Secrets, creative concepts for their site and content. After moving home to Seattle a bit to help run her mother’s dental office, acting as Receptionist and Office Manager, she came back to LA and completed two more Marketing positions, lastly at Muze Agency, where she completed a short contract Exec Assistant assignment. She’s friendly and eager to join a great new company!

STACY ::: MARKETING AND BRANDING ASSISTANT

Stacy Liang recently graduated from Cal Poly with a degree in Business Administration.  While at school, she worked as a Marketing and Promotions intern for the Athletics Department.  She was responsible for coordinating with sponsors and entertainment during sporting events, assisting with creating direct mail, and performing various administrative tasks.  She’s currently interning part-time at Spin Shoppe PR in Hollywood, but looking for full-time opportunities with a great company she can grow with.  Also she has a really friendly, upbeat personality.

ZACHARY ::: CREATIVE AND ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Zachary has extensive experience as an entertainment administrative assistant. He has done temp work at The Walt Disney Company and ABC 7. While at the Walt Disney Company, he worked as an Assistant to The VP of Finance and Licensing.  He was responsible for managing high volume phone lines, sorting/ responding to e-mails, and other various administrative tasks.  Currently, Zachary is working with the HR department and is a freelance payroll coordinator at ABC7.  His responsibilities include reviewing payroll, managing phone lines, and maintaining attendance records. Zachary is hard worker and would make a great addition to many companies.

LEILA ::: ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Leila most recently worked for a year as an Executive Assistant for Climb Access in Melbourne, Australia.  She was responsible for organizing company travel arrangements, new hire orientation packets, and maintaining company financials.  She’s a great candidate for admin jobs, specifically with a concentration in accounting and finance as she has previous experience in these areas.  In addition, she is conversational in Japanese, has worked extensively with Social Media, and has years of experience working as a team leader.  Her earlier background and education in theater makes her a natural personality and liaison between different groups of people.

ADDISON ::: ENTRY-LEVEL GRAD INTERESTED IN FILM/TV

He graduated this past June from UCSB with a degree in Film and Media Studies and has gotten some good experience so far. He interned with the Montecito Picture Company where he got experience with basic admin duties such as answering phones, running errands, stocking supplies, etc. This led to an Assistant Director opportunity with another small production company called Karl Ford Productions. Here, he did everything from soup to nuts since it was a small production. From working with interns, to working on budgets to discussing shot lists, he was able to get great hands on experience. He is currently doing freelance editing work but is looking for a full-time position where he can learn and grow.

EVAN ::: MOTIVATED GRAD WITH GREAT INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE

Evan recently graduated from UofA with a degree in Media Arts and recently moved to Los Angeles to work in entertainment. In the summer of 2010, he interned full-time with Lin Pictures where they gave him full responsibility of working as an assistant. He answered busy phones, prepared script coverage, handled complex scheduling for the Creative Executives and ran errands when needed. He has a great personality – really eager and humble, sharp and mature.

Elizabeth recently moved to L.A. from San Francisco, where she received her degree in Political Science from S.F. State University. She has various experience in customer service, between working as a Barista and Waitress at coffee shops and restaurants, and acting as the front desk receptionist for a major Fitness Club. She also has personal assistant experience and is very open to pursuing that again as well. Realizing her passion for law, she completed a 6-month Judicial Internship at the California Superior Court in San Francisco. CHELSEA ::: MUSIC AND MARKETING PROFESSIONAL

Chelsea is an experienced professional in the Music and Marketing Industries looking for new opportunities and challenges. Having completed two internships during college, one in Sales and Strategic Marketing at Warner Music Group and the other in Marketing and Promotions at Takeover Records, she was offered a job right out of college at EMI/Capitol Records as an assistant in their Catalog Marketing department. She segued this position into an assistant job with Interscope/Geffen’s International Marketing, and eventually became an A&R Pop/Rock Coordinator for them. UMG was an invaluable learning experience for Chelsea, as she created and implemented online marketing plans, built email blasts, assisted with posters, and coordinated with producers, mixers, and artist management. Sheena graduated from Azusa Pacific with her Masters and is currently looking for entry-level opportunities within entertainment. DAVID ::: TALENT AGENGY / MANAGEMENT COMPANY ASSISTANT

David is an experienced Management / Agency Assistant looking to further his knowledge of the industry and join an exciting new team. After receiving his Masters in Business from UCSD, he began an internship with Hopscotch Pictures as a Literary Intern. There, he gave extensive coverage on over 50 scripts and helped assist managers and producers. He was able to move directly from this internship into a full time position at David Shapira & Associates as a Talent Agency Assistant. He assisted four agents total simultaneously, handling heavy phone lines, scheduling, and breakdowns for clients. He also oversaw the DSA internship program there, increasing turn out by 25%. After three years at an Agency, David moved on to ROAR, a Talent Management company, and began assistant two Managers there. He has seen many facets of the entertainment industry and eager to learn even more.

She first got interested in entertainment from an internship with Fox, where she worked in Broadcast Marketing. Once she moved home, she started working part-time with Saks Fifth Avenue to stay busy. She also got an internship with a company called PA Psychological Services, which administers aptitude tests and evaluations. Here, she assisted the owner with scheduling, filing and overseeing evaluations including follow-up reports. She learned a lot but ultimately she is interested in working in some area of entertainment, although she isn’t 100% which direction she wants to go just yet. She’s really outgoing, motivated and smart.

After graduating from UCSB, Camilo moved back to Los Angeles and for the past 3 years has worked as a floater at CAA. Here, she was responsible for project management of high-profile events ranging from red-carpet premieres to after-parties, business meetings and high-end social events. DEREK ::: MEDIA ASSISTANT

Derek is a diverse Media Assistant, having worked in a few different fields within Entertainment and Marketing. After graduating from Bowling Green, he began temping at FOX Interactive Media and MySpace and quickly turned it into a full time position in their Customer Care and Support division. He became a Content Review Specialist, overseeing the quality control and helped identify potential issues before the launch of one of their major websites. As such, he became very familiar with different media platforms, such as social media marketing, websites, software, and IT training.
